On November 13th, 2018 between the hours of 1am and 2am, the Village of Waynesville had several vehicles entered and items stolen. The Thatcher Hill subdivision, located in the northwest side of the village, was the targeted area. The vehicles entered were unsecured and miscellaneous items, including credit cards, were taken. Video footage was ascertained and entered as evidence. Additional evidence was found in the street near 1027 Camp Creek. This evidence led officers to identify the owner of the vehicle that was being used by the suspects. A subsequent investigation found that the vehicle was stolen and involved in a pursuit initiated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The stolen credit cards were used at several locations in the Tri-County area and surveillance photos were retrieved. A comparison of the photos of the subjects using the stolen credit cards matched those of the persons arrested in the pursuit. Stolen items were retrieved from the vehicle and Andre Durr, age 18, was arrested. Additional suspects and charges are pending by Waynesville Police and several other law-enforcement agencies.
