On November 13th, 2018 between the hours of 1am and 2am, the Village of Waynesville had several vehicles entered and items stolen. The Thatcher Hill subdivision, located in the northwest side of the village, was the targeted area. The vehicles entered were unsecured and miscellaneous items, including credit cards, were taken. Due to unforeseen staff turnover, the Street Department is short staffed. Leaf Pickup is not high on the priority list with their daily responsibilities. We are hoping to continue to offer leaf pick up, however, it will be sporadic and no guarantee that leaves will be picked up on the scheduled days. If you have
Village of Waynesville’s Personnel Committee will be holding a meeting on Monday, November 19th, 2018 @ 6:00 pm. The meeting will be at the Waynesville Government Center (1400 Lytle Road) in the Conference Room. The committee will be discussing the employment of public employees and are expected to go into executive session.
Leaf pick up was scheduled to begin on November 5th. However, due to mechanical issues with the truck, it will hopefully begin by Wed., November 7, 2018. Rake leaves to the curb.
